BBDO - Davey

FRAME 1

Camera dolly follows action as boys roll, wrestling down hill.

FRAME 2
" GRUNT! OOF!"
In a continuation of the first shot, frame #2 depicts the tumbling boys bouncing off of the father's legs and coming to rest.

FRAME 3
"Davey . . . "

Cut to shot of Dad, as boys' heads move in from bottom of frame as they get up, adjusting to verticle posture and brushing themselves off. This shot may be slightly tighter or framed slightly higher up as we anticipate that, as framed, the scale of the boys would place to much of them in frame at the head of the shot.

FRAME 4
" . . .is there a problem?"
In a continuation of the shot in frame #3, the boys move up and into shot from bottom of frame.Goliath enters the scene during this shot, moving along the fence catching up with Davey.

FRAME 5
" Well Dad . . . Tommy and I were skateboarding.
And we got thirsty, But there was only one Dew left."

This shot may be slightly more "over the shoulder" of Dad as the drawing depicts the boys as being shorter in comparison to the father than they will be if authentic scale issues are adhered to...

FRAME 6
" Tommy said it was his. "

Shot continues as Tommy pulls the Dew can toward himself . . .

FRAME 7
"I said it was mine. "

Shot continues as Davey pulls the Dew can back, all the while exchanging alternating furtive glances.

FRAME 8
" And . . . we began to fight, And . . ."

FRAME 9
DAD: " Yes, Davey? "
DAVEY: " It was wrong. We're sorry."

Cut to close-up insert of Davey as a conciliatory look sweeps over his face, head gesture will be eyes downcast with head tilting forward.

FRAME 10
"Boys, why don't you give me the Mountain Dew. "
CUT to three-shot as the boys surrender the prize sharing expressions of mutual resignation,

FRAME 11
"Gulp! GULP!"

And Dad chuging down the DEW . . .

FRAME 12
"AHHHH!"
. . .teaches the boys . . .(Dad then drops hand with can to reveal shell-shocked boys)

FRAME 13
" Now, let that be a lesson to you."
a valuable lesson. (Dad walks out of shot as he delivers his line.)

FRAME 14
TOMMY: " What just happened here?"

CUT to CU insert of Tommy.

FRAME 15
DAVEY: " We got hosed, Tommy. We got hosed."
CUT to CU insert of Davey. This shot will begin wide enough to show empty can in foreground as Davey looks toward Tommy for the line: "We got hosed, Tommy!", and then a quick push in tighter on Davey's face as he turns toward the camera for an interlocutory effect for the second: "We got hosed!" line.

FRAME 16
"OH, Davey!"

CUT to medium shot of Goliath with product half in frame in foreground.
