Behind The Scenes - Making of Davey

A behind the scenes glimpse of some of the artistry involved in bringing Davey & Goliath to life.

Based on the final, approved script, storyboards are generated.

Conceptual character design sketches are made.

Color is added to the conceptual character sketches.

Davey's head was then modeled out of clay.

A flexible, silicone rubber mold is made of the sculpt.

A hard resin head is cast in the mold.

The head is then sanded and hand-painted.

Hands are modeled, molded,

. . . cast . . .

. . . and painted.

Davey's shoes are modeled, molded, cast . . .

. . . then painted.

Miniature clothing is then fabricated.

Finally, Davey joins the animator on the set.
